Week 115: Everything Everywhere All at Once

March 6, 2023 by Rob 1 Comment

Wow. This week it really started to feel like we might be able to pull this off even with a snow day. Framing We didn't end the week where i had hoped, but the basement framing is complete and the detailing has been done. There are so many details that Dean has to keep track of and they guys were busy installing firebreaks, blocking walls and floors joists, and making … [Read more...] about Week 115: Everything Everywhere All at Once

Vancouver is at capacity for cement supply with several massive developments sucking up a lot of the supply. You never really think about cement when you don't need it and … [Read more...] about Week 112: Slab and lockable doors

February 4, 2023 by Rob 2 Comments

The sewer hookup didn't wrap up until Tuesday and asphalt was done Wednesday. For some reason the street is still blocked this weekend but just where they lay down their asphalt. I am not sure how long it takes to "cure". Maybe they forgot about the barricades. The sewer work set us back a bit because we needed another load of gravel dropped out front for the slab prep and … [Read more...] about Week 111: Ready to pour the slab
