Kitchen reno gone wild

What have we been up to

We will try and document what gets done every week. It won't always be exciting or glamorous.

Week 58: Permits! No, not for the house.

February 8, 2022 by Rob Leave a Comment

You might recall that i did a walk in the Rockies last summer with friends on the Great Divide Trail. We have decided to do Section E this summer so spent Wednesday morning on the edge of our seats hoping we got some luck with the permit lottery. Wednesday was the day that backcountry permits opened for Jasper National Park and this is a mad scramble. Most of the section just … [Read more...] about Week 58: Permits! No, not for the house.

Lots to do still, just now isn't the time. The weather cleared at last and all the snow is … [Read more...] about Week 55: Cleaning up

Week 54: Soundproofing Prep

January 11, 2022 by Rob Leave a Comment

One of the jobs that dad and i did while he was here was measure how much more drywall we needed to put soundproofing in the back bedroom. We still have a large amount of drywall in decent shape so i spent a relaxing day cutting and labelling over 150 feet of drywall strips ranging from 11" to 14" wide. As you might recall, the builder has warned us that the engineer might … [Read more...] about Week 54: Soundproofing Prep
