Happy new year! Sarah and i left town for a week and went to the island to visit family and friends and spent a quiet Christmas in Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island. This was a hard few weeks. Sarah's father passed on August 26th with her mum at his side. He had chosen MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) which was a little surreal and a new experience for all of us.
