One of the jobs that dad and i did while he was here was measure how much more drywall we needed to put soundproofing in the back bedroom. We still have a large amount of drywall in decent shape so i spent a relaxing day cutting and labelling over 150 feet of drywall strips ranging from 11″ to 14″ wide. As you might recall, the builder has warned us that the engineer might need us to put in additional transverse beams so we are not installing all of this yet, but at least it is prepped. I was totally surprised that we had enough. In the end i only had a couple of bags of trimmings to go to the dump. I am not going to bother taking them until the bathroom is fully demoed and until we learn what the deal is with the beams as that will generate a bunch more trim waste.
The place looks a lot tidier now that the lumber is stacked and the drywall is in manageable chunks.
