We are in a bit of a holding pattern as we approach 4 month since we submitted for our development permit. I don’t want to start on the outside deconstruction (shed, basement siding, removing windows etc.) until we have some sense of a timeline so i am starting to run out of jobs. Lots to do still, just now isn’t the time.
The weather cleared at last and all the snow is gone so i managed to take a load to the dump in Ward’s trailer. I managed a not too embarrassing job of reversing into a spot so maybe i am getting better. We also cleared out a ton of paint that we had kept over the years. Some of the cans have been open for over a decade and all were pretty rusty. I have been meaning to fix some bad taping and mudding i did in the bathroom 13 years ago, but the paint is no good anymore. I guess i’ll get to that another time.
I did a little experiment with the tiles and chipped up one to see how hard that was going to be. It wasn’t as bad as i expected but getting the underlayment up is going to be the real struggle. I might just leave that for the professionals. My only concern about that though is that the plastic could be a problem for the fill.
With a quiet weekend we did manage to get out for a decent ride. It has been over a month which is probably the longest Sarah and i have been off our bikes for the last decade or so.
