With everything in place, no booster shot hangover, and having figured out my mistakes i managed to get a couple more sections into the attic and insulated without wearing myself out. It was still a lot of work but it went way faster. I have one more short section to wrap up next week. I also realized that i didn’t need to have wall all the way along to hold the insulation and left sections between each piece of wall that i insulated then held in place with strapping going from each end of the wall bits on either side. It might not seem like much but it did save me from putting up 4 feet of wall!
I also did a bit more work lifting tile downstairs. The orange underlay is likely going to stay until we are taking out the foundation as i did a damn fine job putting it in place. This was the first floor tiling i had ever done and i gotta say i did a great job.
January is also Seville orange season so Sunday was marmalade day. I have been making it every year for well over a decade and share it with family and friends. Cutting the peel by hand gives me blisters but the house smells amazing.
