I have no idea what is going on with the house. I am in Jakarta for work.
Had a great flight with one of my team (Anu) who lives in Toronto who i had never met in person before. It was fun to get to know her and nice to have someone to travel with even though we didn’t sit together. We arrived a couple of days early so instead of working on the house on the weekend i was sightseeing with Anu and a couple of programmers from Bulgaria, Ned and Kalin. More people arrived Saturday so we all got together for drinks. Sunday a bunch of us went to the old colonial part of town to a market. What an experience! We stumbled across a shadow puppet maker and visited his studio, had a show, and learned some of the history of the plays and different types of puppets. A real highlight.
We have gathered team members from 5 continents for the first time since before the pandemic and had a great opening dinner on Sunday night. Too bad i am starting to get sick from the jetlag. Work starts tomorrow.
