So i thought i had been bitten by mosquitos or something on the weekend because i had an itchy spot on my back… turns out i have shingles! Fun. Sure am glad i am not in the middle of nowhere carrying a pack! Sarah diagnosed it right away and a virtual doctor appointment later and i am now on a course of anti-viral pills. Luckily i got right on it and it didn’t get any worse.
As far as the house goes, Dean has decided to just do a single pour. Concrete is still backed up because of the strike a few weeks ago so the fewer pours we have to arrange the better. Form work for the walls have started and now it sort of looks like something! Not much for me to do except to stay out of their way.
Without anything to do i got out for a good hike on Sunday up to Mt. Unnecessary. Fantastic to hike with just a day pack but it was strange to hike with lots of other people after only seeing a handful on our big hike in the Rockies. The shingles don’t seem to have slowed me down much.
We braved the mall on Sunday to shop for wedding clothes for Jeff and Jenn’s wedding in September. I don’t brave malls for many people so we really must like them. This is our third and final wedding of the year and it has been put off for 2 years already. B is coming home with Alex and Sarah and i are part of the wedding party. Worth a day at the mall.
