Sarah finally tested negative the morning we were coming home from Whistler which was great as the kids could stay with us in our little basement suite. It was a bit cramped but nice to have them around.
At the house, the team is working on architectural forming where the concrete will be exposed in the front and back patios. It is a much different system and uses oiled plywood on the exposed side to give a nice smooth finish. Also the ties are circular with these little plastic cones so that it looks tidier where the ties come out. They also add trim along the top so that it has a relieved edge and not a sharp 90 degree corner.
We took the kids to Victoria to introduce Alex to friends and family and Sarah and i took advantage of the nice weather to get to Sombrio and sit in the sun watching surfers. Sarah is still pretty wiped out from covid so the short hike in wasn’t fast but the weather was great and it was a nice way to spend the day.
